From Lawyer to Matchmaker

I built the service I always wished existed.

After 14 years as a corporate lawyer, I quit at 40 to do something that felt genuinely meaningful.

Every single person I talked to was frustrated with modern dating — especially the apps. I started thinking about the service I would want for myself: something grounded in science, that made dating less exhausting and actually enjoyable.

I spent years studying relationship science and behavioral economics — attachment styles, core values, what actually predicts long-term compatibility. Then I put it to work. Crux Compatible is the result.

Now I also bring that same knowledge to one-on-one coaching — helping people navigate dating more intentionally and build the relationships they actually want.

Originally from Houston, I graduated from UT Austin class of 2005. When I'm not matchmaking, you can find me two-stepping at the White Horse, walking around Town Lake with my girlfriend, Sabrina (and interviewing couples on the pedestrian bridge), or jumping in Barton Springs.
